PODIUM #s?
47-6-24 is a new podium.
For the first time in modern NASCAR history, the 6, 24, and 47 shared the podium!
The 47 and 6 had never finished one-two.
PLAYOFF STANDINGS:
Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, and Daniel Suárez were the only playoff drivers to not score stage points at Talladega. Hamlin was able to finish in the top ten, but Logano and Suárez were left with terrible points days. Logano and Suárez will need to be on attack at the Roval.
William Byron scored the most points of playoff drivers in back-to-back weeks, carrying strong momentum to the round of eight.

NOTES/COMMENTS:
The inconsistency of DVP enforcement is the story of the week. (It seems like it has been the lead story for the last few weeks…) Which drivers get an assist back to pit road? Either offer everyone a trip back to the pits or help nobody. Creating a judgment call is NASCAR asking for trouble. A more clear policy for post-crash flat tires will need to be created in the offseason.
